Accounts Payable Automation Helps Reduce Processing Costs by 85%
PayStream Advisors research reveals the average cost of manually processing an invoice can be as high as $20, versus $3 for automated invoice processing. The payback period for investment in invoice and AP automation is short, ranging from 6-18 months on average. A proven problem with proven solutions, AP process automation is a low-risk investment.
Immediate and ongoing results of this are:
- Capture and normalize incoming information no matter the source – paper, email, attachments, fax, EDI and XML
- Eliminate 80% to 95% of data entry
- Automate the approval and exception processing of various invoice types (PO, non-PO, expense, inventory, recurring, etc.)
- Promote straight-through “touchless” processing
- Eliminate up to 90% of the processing time for each invoice
- Real time and interactive analytics pertaining to bottlenecks, invoices that get paid without being approved, and productivity of the users plus more
- Retrieval of documents within seconds
- Eliminate supplier inquires, upload invoices and update vendor master with a self-service vendor portal
The All Star AP Invoice solution can integrate with any line-of-business or ERP system (SAP, Ariba, Oracle eBusiness Suite, PeopleSoft, Lawson, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics, Infor, Workday). This integration will enhance and compliment your existing software investment in ERP and infrastructure and will guarantee accountability throughout your organization.
Take advantage of the complete solution or choose the parts you need that best fit your business and existing infrastructure.

OnBase WorkView | Case Manager
WorkView | Case Manager is a low-to-no-code component of OnBase that can be used to build business applications. It is primarily used to build three things: tables of data, relationships between data, and user interfaces to view/interact with the data. The true power of WorkView comes from being a part of a robust OnBase suite that includes workflow, content management and file sync and sharing.
Most organizations have at least one core business application like HRIS, CRM, or ERP. This is the source of truth and the primary business application for day-to-day operations. But there are also shared spreadsheets, standalone applications, custom applications, legacy applications, Lotus Notes, Access and standalone databases in addition to paper checklists and emails. WorkView is the glue that can give you the ability to standardize on a configurable tool for building applications thus minimizing the number of applications in your infrastructure and becoming experts with a single application that does what your core systems can’t do easily and also can support adding functionality to your core system with mobile and workflow functionality.
What type of use cases does this lead to? Things like contract management, vendor management, benefit enrollment tracking, employee management, HR onboarding and offboarding, incident management, policy administration and many more. Below is a great example of WorkView in action where a user can see data, process milestones, documents, tasks, notes and collaboration all from one screen.

What’s New
All Star Now Offers Data Validation and Administrative Services
Data Validation
All Star provides many flavors of document and data capture solutions. These can be completely on premise, in the cloud or a hybrid in addition to being completely outsourced. The resulting solution is based on your preference. Many of our customers are using software that captures invoices, extracts header and line item data and sends the data and the document into workflow and ultimately the target ERP system.
As a way to augment our customers’ staff, All Star can log into our customers’ capture systems and perform the data validation aspect of the process. This occurs after data is extracted but before data is sent into workflow and ERP. This effort is no different than a customer’s AP team performing the same function, but this now frees up the AP team from doing data entry so they can focus on more high value tasks.
The data validation aspect is a method for checking the accuracy of data extracted as well as any validations against the ERP system or calculation discrepancies. This can be considered a form of data cleansing. Data validation ensures that your data is complete (no blank or null values), unique (contains distinct values that are not duplicated), and the range of values is consistent with what you expect. The goal is to ensure the only transactions that make it into your target systems are clean and validated.
Admin Services
In addition to Data Validation services, All Star is now offering Administrative services to help improve process flow delays, assist users processing data and to manage tedious clerical tasks that customers may not want to handle. Not to be confused with Managed Services (our technical offering), these tasks are generally clerical, administrative or related to process training in nature and often supplement our Validation Services.
Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to:
- Identifying sender of invoice
- Reviewing failed email imports
- Attachment review / no attachments
- Who validated / approved / routing (History)
- Validation training
- Validation rules and Q&A
- Basic knowledge base maintenance and conflict resolution
