In the Stellent Overview section, systems were classified
as either active or inactive. The first type of active system is defined
as a system containing actively retrieved documents. Stellent Process
is the next step in an active system. Once documents have entered the
system through Stellent Context, Stellent Process will take the documents
through a workflow cycle. Different types of documents have different
types of workflow cycles. Stellent Process enables the automatic routing
and management of transactional documents such as purchase orders, claims,
invoices and applications. With Stellent Process, a user can process a
transaction from any location at any time. Typical bottlenecks are eliminated
since a physical piece of paper is no longer required to begin processing
a transaction. Documents are captured via remote or centralized scanning/importing
and are immediately available for any workflow cycle to process by any
user.
Stellent Process Components
Stellent Process enhances overall connectivity of business processes, breaking
down organizational, technological and geographical barriers, through
the following powerful components:
Stellent Workplace
Stellent Workplace is a unique web application for viewing and working with
transactional documents and information to accomplish tasks and process
transactions. It provides secure access to information, the tools necessary
to complete business tasks, and can be customized according to user job
roles within the organization. By using business rules to establish priorities,
Stellent Workplace leverages the transactional information and documents
managed by Stellent Context. This enables more efficient end-to-end business
processes.
Stellent Process Builder
As the cornerstone of the electronic process, Stellent Process Builder is
a graphical tool allowing users to visually represent, create, update
and maintain electronic workflow processes. Process Builder defines the
work processes, events, tasks and rules automating content delivery and
routing throughout the organization.
Stellent Process Monitor
Stellent Process Monitor offers a graphical, real-time reporting manager
giveing supervisory personnel the ability to view work being completed
by all users, groups of users and system functions within the business
process. Supervisors can constantly monitor and manage the system, including
the ability to balance load and eliminate bottlenecks through real-time
reallocation of work.
