In the Stellent Overview section, systems were classified as either active or inactive. The first type of active system is defined as a system containing actively retrieved documents. Stellent Process is the next step in an active system. Once documents have entered the system through Stellent Context, Stellent Process will take the documents through a workflow cycle. Different types of documents have different types of workflow cycles. Stellent Process enables the automatic routing and management of transactional documents such as purchase orders, claims, invoices and applications. With Stellent Process, a user can process a transaction from any location at any time. Typical bottlenecks are eliminated since a physical piece of paper is no longer required to begin processing a transaction. Documents are captured via remote or centralized scanning/importing and are immediately available for any workflow cycle to process by any user.
