Ascent Capture is the ideal document and data capture system including many tools assisting with document indexing and data entry. With Ascent Capture Neurascript (ACN) the core Ascent Capture system delivers the most powerful forms processing available.

The Ascent Capture core product provides several key tools, known as queues, to manage the types of work needing to take place during the capture and data entry processes. ACN adds queues, giving organizations all the needed components to convert scanned forms into clean and verified data.

Recognition
The Neurascript Recognition module automatically recognizes machine print, handwriting and mark-sense data to a high degree of accuracy from bi-tonal, grayscale or color document images. This powerful module captures semi-structured and tabular data, even when tables dynamically change format or extend over multiple columns or pages. Organizations often need an automated way to handle forms with complex patterned or watermarked backgrounds, such as bills of lading, prescriptions, or security documents Recognition uses powerful color and grayscale processing to get the best bitonal representation, enabling the best recognition rates. Advanced image processing also allows non-dropout forms to be processed, even from a bitonal image. It removes boxes while leaving the characters largely intact. Recognition uses arbitrary features for registration and identification, which is crucial when processing legacy data. This module includes a powerful drag-and-drop configuration tool dramatically cutting the needed time setting up data capture tasks.

Corrector
The Corrector module is an easy to use, high-speed keying module for confirming or editing characters recognized with low confidence by Intelli-Form or rejected by Recognition. It enables correction of individual characters, giving fast and efficient data repair with minimum keystrokes. The Corrector's screen layout includes last-field and next-field viewing, proven in customer trials to yield greater throughput and improve correction of rejected characters.

Completion
The Completion module offers high-volume key-from-image capabilities with real time data validation and a highly customizable interface delivered to the Ascent Release module. It is configured for a number of data capture scenarios, such as reviewing data captured by Recognition and verifying keyed data from other sources. In trials, Completion reduced data entry times by 50 percent when compared to custom applications.

Definer
The Definer module sets up data capture areas and recognition parameters for the Recognition module. Users define read areas, multiple registration points and character types and fonts on their forms using the point and click functionality. The intuitive graphical user interface makes quick and easy set up of read areas and document registration points. It is fully integrated with the recognition engine, enabling easily tested configuration changes in a visual environment without the need for time consuming scanning, processing and analysis.

Template Editor
Template Editor enables drag-and-drop configuration of the Completion user interface. Organizations configure the screen layout and keyboard mapping to match the application. It also features embedding business rules and data processing logic without reprogramming.

Stats Reporter
Stats Reporter allows recognition performance and operator keying statistics to be viewed on screen or in hard copy in a concise, easy to read format. Reports are presented either in a standard or custom format created using a powerful Report Designer. Statistics generated by Neurascript's data capture modules, are easily combined with statistics from other data capture process or data from any ODBC database.
