System Sizing and Planning
Prior to any system rollout, it is imperative the system be properly planned. Sizing and planning involves gathering data regarding systems users, types of users, functionality, security requirements, storage estimates, capture and scanning needs and system access. In general, it analyzes how the entire system will be used and by whom.

System sizing and planning is the cornerstone to the success of the implementation. Proper planning allows for a smooth implementation, but more importantly, ensures the system performs well and solves business problem for years to come.

Process Analysis and Improvement
Using the information gained in the sizing and planning stage, process analysis involves the discovery of how information flows through the company to facilitate business. This includes the flow of email, documents, faxes, electronic documents, phone calls and paper.

In our experience, many businesses operate based on an individual employee's knowledge of where items are documented and what steps must be taken when a task arrives. While this may work in many cases, it isn't always the most efficient mechanism of conducting business. Additionally, the company isn't protected in the event of an emergency or turn over.

Automating a business process is not simply turning a manual process into an electronic process via the use of software. Computers and software offer unique advantages to process automation. Fully understanding the existing process is critical to developing an improved or new process electronically.

On-Site Trouble Shooting
Sometimes systems problems reach beyond the capabilities of phone and email support, and an on-site visit is the only solution. Some problems may arise because of systems updates, which may interfere with solutions we've provided. Typical actions that may cause system function discrepancies include: OS Upgrades, such as NT to 2000, or 2000 to XP, ODBC driver updates, Service Pack applications or Conflicting software upgrades.

At All Star Software Systems, we strive to be your partner and want to assist in any way possible. We encourage tight relationships between your IT staff and ours.
