"Accounts Payable Invoice Processing"
One of the issues I consistently see in the field is the lack of good organization surrounding the capture and extraction of information in the AP Invoice Process. Specifically many companies are taking steps to a significant amount of data entry efforts by scanning documents, importing emails & attachments and importing EDI or XML. Once captured, the header/line item data is extracted using technology such as Kofax Transformation Modules, ReadSoft Invoices or Oracle WebCenter Forms Recognition.

Oracle I/PM Support for Windows 7 and IE 8
Oracle has recently released Patch Set Release 10.1.3.6 that offers support for Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 8. All Star has installed and upgraded many customers to this latest and probably final version of the 10x version.
We have no major issues in our testing and feel this is a stable release of the 10x product.
If you have support, please contact our help desk help@allstarss.com to schedule a maintenance visit and start the upgrade procedures.
If you don't have support, not to worry - we have done no less than 10 upgrades in 2011 and have it down to a science. Typical upgrades for a two system environment (DEV and Production) are running about 10-12 days of effort. |

Attention all customers with unlimited contracts with All Star, please note the following change effective 10/15/11
* Customers with support contracts under 10,000 per year are entitled to one (1) maintenance visit per year (One on-site).
*Customers with support contracts that are 10,000 to 20,000 per year are entitled to two (2) maintenance visits per year (One on-site and one remote).
* Customers with support contract over $20,000 per year are entitled to four (4) maintenance visits per year (Two on-site and two remote). |

Reporting Made Easy with "All Star InSight"
All Star offers a simple to use, user configurable reporting tool called “Insight”. It will allow for reporting against the Kofax database (or other connected database, such as I/PM or database View) to run such reports as: Batches in the system, Batches per queue, and also report on the values of the index fields entered in the system thus far. i.e. invoice total for all invoices in the pending queue.

All Star Kofax Capture Import Tool (ACIT)
The All Star Kofax Capture Import Tool (ACIT) is a configurable application that can import field data and document files into Kofax Capture. It reads one or more input files that are line-oriented containing data and document files specified on each line, and maps those lines to Kofax Capture fields and documents. Additionally, it can be used to import files only – no data file is required.

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
All Stars ERP Integrations solutions allows an ERP system to extend its functionality by content and workflow enabling the ERP system. This is done using point and click configurable and 100% non-invasive tools that require no custom coding or ERP system modification. Functionality like retrieving documents, indexing documents, intitating or updating workflow packages, intiating eForms and populating Word documents are available using this integration tool.
For example, while users are looking at a screen in the ERP system, they can double click on a field in the ERP screen and the interation will fun a search for any documents having the same index field as what was double clicked. When the search is complete the user can view, email, fax, annotate or print any of the documents associated with the transaction being viewed.
